The only NPO in South Africa founded by children who are active members of the management committee! Chaeli Campaign came about after Chaeli and her friends were so successful raising funds to buy a motorised wheelchair for Chaeli that they then established the organisation to continue to raise funds to help other children with disabilities.
The Chaeli Campaign assists in enabling more independence and opportunities for disabled young people through its many intervention programmes and projects. Their Vocational Skills Training programme will also manufacture the Sebezaphones now and this will enable meaningful employment for disabled young adults with the support of their families and community. It will also provide an opportunity to expose the community to the benefits of the product for its young learners.
